I was wondering if there is a way to install Visual Basic 6 Working Model onto my CD drive. It is a CD burner, but the setup only lets me copy half of the files to the cd drive (e:\)- some of the options default to C:\program files\microsoft visual studio\vb98. There is no way that I can see to change this.

I'll have to look into getting the most current version of VB-6. I figured that ws the current version, but there are probably updates around. No, I meant a more current version of VB or a toll for creating self installing executables. I doubt there is a more current version of "VB 6", it's pretty old.

VB6 won't run after installing Visual Studio.NET
You need to find the VB 6 project file and open it. Either that, or open VB 6 and then open the file. If you are trying to open the project, the VB 6 style projects are either NET, which is strange, or VB 6 is not installed. I would check the Program Files folder and look for Visual Studio 6 or Visual Basic 6.

Help, Should I install VB service pack updates?
I am unable to find any way to correct the deteriorations except to uninstall my development tools and reinstall them all back with all the service packs/fixes. I have never had this happen before installing the CE tools. Is anyone else seeing a deteriorating IDE in Visual Basic 6?

What I'm trying to determine right now (without my own copy of VB 6) is whether VB 6's setup program installs the defective DLL, or OTOH, applications programmed using VB 6 copy the defective DLL to the system.
